St George’s Parade
St George is the patron saint of Scouting. Some of the young people and leaders joined the Coleford parade this afternoon. Sunny, warm and dry weather made it pleasant. It wasn’t too long, so the young people didn’t mind too much.

District Cub Leaders organised an excellent day for Cubs at Apple Orchard
We took a group of Scouts and Explorers to the Haarlem Jamborette in The Netherlands. It is the most amazing ten days that you can imagine on scouting. We took Scouts and Explorers from across the Forest of Dean to Belgium for a week. We stayed at the De Kluis camp site near St Joris Weert. We cycled, canoed, hiked, swam, saw battlefields, visited the scout museum, and Brussels. It was brilliant.
Glorious weather today and we had Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, and adults on the water at Mallards Pike.
The Scouts took part in a District Night Hike with various bases. Great fun.
