We took the opportunity to get a last Survival Friday in for 2024 on the last Friday in August. It was a pleasant evening of stories and brews. Most of the scouts stayed up all night, some tried tea for the first time. Some spotted a Starlink satellite train.
Our new Squirrels Drey have been meeting at primrose Hill School, to help the team settle into the routine. For the last meeting this summer we went down to the Deerpark for shelter-building and toasted marshmallows. They had a great time.
First Survival Friday for 4 years. Chilly overnight, so people were up at 0450 😮
May cub camp was the first opportunity to pitch the new marquees. The other Gala tents had done great service but we bought them in 2007 and they were showing their age.
