Well, 2020 turned out to be a rather unusual Scouting year. With a Covid lockdown being implemented in March, all “normal” face to face scouting ceased and we had to find new ways of continuing our scouting activities. We ran our section meetings online over zoom, we also took part in activities organised by the scout District, County, National and Worldwide. We had a VE day camp where many of us camped overnight in our gardens, and took part in YouTube videos compiled by Gloucestershire County. There was an online version of the county Strategy weekend, that occupied us for a week. The District Water activities day was spread over a weekend. The International Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) team put two weekends together with guest presenters and all sorts of activities.
